November 2008 through March 1st 2009: Pre-production
March 9 : First day of recording bass and drums at Studio Möllan with Emil Isaksson engineering.
March 24: A couple of lead vocals tried out
March 25: First day of Rhythm guitar tracking
April 27, May 4 & 5: Jon's lead vocal recording and editing
May 11: more JS vocal tracks edited
May 25: JS piano & other keyboard tracking
June 1 - June 8: in YLA studio with producer extraordinaire Amir Aly doing two singles. One uptempo, "Apple Pie Song" and a ballad, "You Need Me".
June 15 & 17 : back in Studio Mollan with Emil. Mixing will start soon, but first a break for Scandinavia's favorite holiday, "Midsummer's Day". (Also a song on the album....)
June 26 and 28: Back in Malmö...Doing additional slide guitar, dobro and lap steel tracking with Pelle Jernryd in his beautiful country studio: the White Room. Also will be in Studio Mollan this week. Always more work to do there with the hardworking and talented Emil. Mixing will start soon, but before that some backround vocals...Time is flying...
July 6, 7 & 8 : working with Emil mixing and additional tracking and at the same with Pelle on guitar/slide/dobro overdubs. More Maciej/Rasmus bass/drum tracking. Wow!, Intense and Fun..
Editing, Mixing, Editing, Mixing.....
July 27 : Patrick Ohlson brought in for more guitar solos and over dubs.
July 29 : More Jon lead vocal tracking. JS note: The album is coming together BEAUTIFULLY!
July 31 : Seaside photo shoot by Tony Köhrsen in Southeastern Sweden for CD's cover and booklet. Haircut by Elvira at Salong Ella in the Värnhem district of Malmö.
August 31 : conga tracking with Marlon Tepedino. Getting into the final stretch now. Backing vocals, a Strider electric guitar solo, lots of Emil percussion and mixing.
September 14 : Horn sectiontracking on 'There's A Road' with Niklas Fredin (trumpet) and Inge Pettersson (tenor sax). Fun!!
October 10 : endless Mix tweeks. Tweek. Tweek. Tweek...
OCTOBER 21 : MIXING COMPLETE at Studio Mollan. ! YAH-HOO! A BIG thanks to recording and mixing engineer Emil Isaksson (and a generous pat on Jon's back) for a job well done!!!
NOVEMBER 4, 5 & 6 : Mastering at Stockholm Mastering with Thomas Eberger.
NOVEMBER 13 : some LITTLE tweeks with the mastering and this sucker is (sonically anyways...) DONE!! (Yippeee!!....)
December 2nd : the last tweek of tweeks on You Need Me (track two on the upcoming Fresh Tracks CD...). Also the CD booklet, covers and CD are DONE! A BIG tip of the hat to Thomas Eberger the projects mastering whiz and Tony Köhrsen, a top drawer photographer and graphic designer Both of these guys weathered Jon's triple Virgo penchant for that ever elusive goal of perfection. No compromises on this project and these guys gave it their all. Jon is grateful for sure.

Graphic Artwork perfected and OK's. Recorded master and CD graphics sent to duplication plant. A BIG thanks to Steen Bahnsen at DANCD for his extra effort in the final stretch! It's done. The baby is born and it feels like a boy this time.
